My first May, pre-summer, in New York. Balmy night strolls; sprawling on decks; too many cake pops; barbeque smoked hair; rooftop hopping; wondrous views; wishing it wasn’t so sunny; wishing it wasn’t so rainy; trying to dress appropriately for the thick, wet air; breaking in shoes; more mini-burgers than one should ever eat; new friends; old friends; all day canapé days; park lounging; threatening to Instagram at any given moment; bare feet; Brooklyn balcony nights; too-long but too-short thrift trips; watching strangers; inhaling the city and enjoying it on my skin.
